AVENUE GRANDE OPENS IN FAIRFIELD COUNTY
Providing expertise, resources and solutions for Home and Living in lower Fairfield County
NEW CANAAN , CT. August 3, 2004. Avenue Grande LLC announces its Fairfield County opening in New Canaan effective August 1, 2004. Avenue Grande offers products and services for Fairfield County’s household CEOs who attend to the “business of living” required in running a home, raising a family, balancing a profession, or a combination of any of these “divisions.” Based on in-depth research and expert advice, Avenue Grande hopes to soon become the County’s 'go-to' resource for qualified home and living resources in the lower Fairfield County area. Devon Fleming, the principal of Avenue Grande, developed her expertise and resource network over the last ten years by scouring the County’s ever-changing marketplace and identifying the crème de la crème of Fairfield County retailers, service and specialty providers and organizations.
Now, with the launch of it’s first product- Devon Fleming's PINK BOOK, The Hottest Guide to Living in lower Fairfield County –due to rollout in mid-September and the new regional radio show, "Devon Fleming's Business of Living," already on the air Saturdays at noon on WSTC 1400AM and WNLK 1350AM, Avenue Grande is off to a strong start in becoming the resource lower Fairfield County residents turn to when they need straightforward advice and quality recommendations for living an enjoyable life.
With an intriguing and eclectic list of scheduled guests, the fall programming of “Devon Fleming’s Business of Living,” promises to be both informative and fun, as Devon will conduct interviews with area home and living resource providers and pick their brains for “how-to” advice only these experts have. Add to this, on-air listener call-ins and it’s anybody’s guess where the topic of conversation will end up – that’s just the way Devon wants it.
“The radio show is not only a way to introduce the audience to new ideas and perspectives to help them manage the business of living, but also a way to help them enjoy the business of living. There are too many men and women going at such a frantic pace and at the edge of burnout, as they are trying so hard to be all things to all people. It’s just not realistic and it’s certainly not fun,” says Devon. “We’re trying to accomplish the same goal with the Pink Book – getting information and resources in the hands and minds of those who need or want some help, but only want to work with the best, most qualified people. By delegating discrete responsibilities to others, there’s more free time to enjoy family and friends in the comfort they’ve worked hard to create."
Available at select venues, Avenue Grande’s first publication, the much-anticipated Devon Fleming’sPink Book, will be available September 2004. Broken into three main areas - 'Your Home', 'Your Family' (and friends too), and 'Your Fun' – the first edition of this factual, yet witty book will divulge Devon's handpicked places and resources, hard-to-find spots, and best kept secrets for managing the 'business of living' in lower Fairfield County. For ease of use, the Pink Book will have two indexes – one by town and the other alphabetically – in addition to the main chapters of listings.
"This County is blessed with such tremendous resources for managing our home and living needs and we felt it was high time to get them all together and down on paper,” says Devon, noting that the advanced orders on her website – www.dfpinkbook.com – only underscore the local interest in the guide. “I hope The Pink Book finds its way into desks, handbags and glove compartments all over Fairfield County so that people will know great places to go for their current need, whether it be furniture, a “date night”, a great outfit, fulfilling a volunteer opportunity and more. We hope The Pink Book goes a long way toward eliminating the “trial and error” approach that can be so disappointing. There are just too many wonderful opportunities to feel good and be good in Fairfield County.”
Avenue Grande LLC also serves as the operating company under which Devon Fleming Designs, a New Canaan-based boutique interior design and decoration business is now managed and under which current and future home and living resources and services will be introduced and made available. Both are owned and operated by Devon Fleming.
Creative Insight, a New Canaan, CT based design firm was chosen by Devon Fleming for all three entities in the development of identity branding, print collateral, advertising, as well as publication design & illustration for the Pink Book.
